Lot 1 Traffic Advisory: Thursday Night, November 13 Football Game
On Thursday, November 13, 2003, at 7:45 pm, the University of Maryland
football team will play Virginia at Byrd Stadium. This Atlantic Coast
Conference game will be televised by ESPN. The number of vehicles on
campus for normal University activities, and this evening game, may exceed
our inventory of parking spaces, making parking extremely tight.
In order to meet normal campus needs, and prepare for the game, we must
make the following adjustments to Lot 1 parking space availability during
the day of November 13th:
- Lots 1b, 1c and 1d will be available to permit holders parking
prior to 11:30 a.m.
- After 11:30 a.m., Lots 1b, 1c and 1d will be closed to incoming
cars. If you arrive after this time, you will be directed to park in Lot
4b, where you may catch the Shuttle-UM Circuit Bus.
- To enter Lots 1b, 1c and 1d prior to 11:30 a.m., please display the
enclosed special permit which is valid on November 13th only.
- All cars parking in Lots 1b, 1c and 1d must be removed by 4:00 p.m. If
you plan to remain on campus beyond this time, you must move your vehicle
to Lot 4b where you can catch the Shuttle-UM "Quick Bus". Vehicles with
Lot 1 permits remaining in Lots 1b, 1c or 1d beyond 4:00 pm will be
relocated.
