SDG, Lot Z, Lot Q, Lot AAA Traffic Advisory: Thursday Night, November 13 Football Game

On Thursday, November 13th, at 7:45 p.m., the University of Maryland football team will play Virginia at Byrd Stadium here on campus. This Atlantic Coast Conference game will be televised by ESPN. The number of vehicles on campus for normal University activities and this evening game may exceed our inventory of parking spaces, making parking extremely tight.

The information below is specifically for SDG, Lot Z, Lot Q, and Lot AA.

SDG (Stadium Drive Garage)

In order to meet normal campus needs and prepare for the game, we must make the following adjustments to Lot SDG parking space availability during the day on November 13th:

• All cars parking in Lot SDG must be moved by 4:00 p.m.
  
  
• Student SDG permit holders: if you are planning to remain on campus beyond this time, you must move your vehicle to Lot 4b where you can catch the Campus Connector North route back to the center of campus. See www.transportation.umd.edu for schedule details. Vehicles with Lot SDG permits remaining in Lot SDG beyond 4:00 p.m. will be relocated.
  
  
• Faculty/Staff SD* permit holders: if you need to remain on campus past 4:00 p.m., you must move your vehicle to the non-numbered spaces on the north side of the garage.

LOT Z

In order to prepare for the game and ensure that your parking needs are met, on November 13th, all Lot Z permit holders will be reassigned for the day.

Because Lot Z will be unavailable for use, all spaces in Union Lane Garage will be reserved for Lot Z permit holders only and a parking attendant will be on duty. Should additional spaces be needed, Lot Z permit holders may also park in Regents Drive Garage. Union Lane Garage and Regents Drive Garage will be free to Lot Z permit holders on November 13th.

Additionally, all Lot Z permit holders who park in Union Lane Garage, must move their vehicles by 4:00 p.m. in order to accommodate football patrons attending the game. IF YOU MUST REMAIN ON CAMPUS BEYOND 4:00 p.m., YOU MUST MOVE YOUR VEHICLE TO REGENTS DRIVE GARAGE.

LOT Q

In order to meet normal campus needs and prepare for the game, we must make the following adjustments to Lot Q parking space availability during the day of November 13th:

• Lot Q will be available to permit holders parking prior to 3:30 p.m.
• After 3:30 p.m., Lot Q will be closed to incoming cars. Lot Q permit holders arriving after 3:30 p.m. will be directed to park in Regents Drive Garage.
• All cars parking in Lot Q must be removed by 4:00 p.m. If you plan to remain on campus beyond this time, you must move your vehicle to Regents Drive Garage. Vehicles with Lot Q permits remaining in Lot Q beyond 4:00 p.m. will be relocated.

LOT AA

In order to meet normal campus needs and prepare for the game, we must make the following adjustments to Lot AA parking space availability during the day of November 13th:

• Lot AA will be available to permit holders parking prior to 4:00 p.m.
• After 4:00 p.m., Lot AA will be closed to incoming cars.
• All cars parked in Lot AA must be removed by 4:00 p.m. If you plan to remain on campus beyond this time, you must move your vehicle to Regents Drive Garage.
• If you are parked in a numbered space in Lot AA after 4:00 p.m., your vehicle will be relocated.
